Last Thursday, June 28th, we had an educational phone conference call with SWAN that went over many of the important questions about rare and undiagnosed diseases that those interested in rare disease submitted to us, either for themselves or their loved ones. There was also the option to submit questions “live” through our Facebook group. Examples of questions answered were: the difference between exome and whole genome sequencing, how rare diseases are named, and many more! We had a lot of great questions submitted to us before the call, and we weren’t able to get to all of them! We will answer the ones we weren’t able to answer the day of at a later date. Amy Clugston of SWAN did a great job moderating, and our own Jimmy, Naira, and Marisa were wonderful panelists.
