The ETC, a venture of Baltimore Development Corporation, is a non-profit business incubator program with two separate incubator facilities, focused on growing early-stage technology and biotechnology companies in Baltimore City. Simply put, the ETC’s mission is to help early-stage companies grow and prosper. As part of the Baltimore Development Corporation, the ETC also promotes economic development, providing start-ups with business, technical, and networking connections that will help them to become profitable – adding to both the job and tax base of Baltimore City.
Praxis was created to support social entrepreneurs who are compelled by their faith to advance the common good. The vision for the organization was formed out of a passion to assist in the development of high-impact organizations, while providing an environment that allows the leaders of these organizations to explore how to embody the Gospel within their work. Our first and primary offering is the Praxis Accelerator, a mentorship-driven program for these social entrepreneurs & innovators. Within this program, our goal is to provide selected Fellows with the knowledge and network needed to develop world-class organizations.

Along with two annual conferences -- the TED Conference in Long Beach and Palm Springs each spring, and the TEDGlobal conference in Edinburgh UK each summer -- TED includes the award-winning TEDTalks video site, the Open Translation Project and TED Conversations, the inspiring TED Fellows and TEDx programs, and the annual TED Prize.
The Startup Leadership Program (SLP) is a highly selective, world-class training program and network for outstanding founders, leaders and innovators who are or want to be startup CEOs, and be connected to a global network. SLP has grown to become one of the most innovative education programs, as well as one of the highest quality networks of entrepreneurs and innovators in the world. SLP Fellows are in their early-20s to mid-30s and have founded over 300 breakthrough startups in 12 different cities and haved raised in total over $150 MM to date.
HBN’s mission is to create a stronger biotech community which addresses the interests of its members. We at HBN focus on critical issues in biotechnology and seek to bridge the gap between the three main stakeholders in the biotech field: industry, academia, and government. The Social Innovation Lab is an accelerator for social innovation projects and organizations housed at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in partnership with the Johns Hopkins Carey School of Business and Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA). Our mission is to foster innovation for social change by providing the support and coordination necessary to create and sustain collaborative social innovation projects.
The Personalized Medicine Coalition (PMC), was launched in 2004 to educate the public and policymakers, and to promote new ways of thinking about health care. Today, PMC represents a broad spectrum of more than 200 academic, industry, patient, provider and payer communities, as we seek to advance the understanding and adoption of personalized medicine concepts and products for the benefit of patients.

The Bio/Nano Programmable Matter group within Autodesk Research is extending this expertise into new domains of matter by developing software for the design and simulation of molecular systems and living systems.
